The economy is in a slump. A recession. A downslide. Whatever you chose to call it, those of us who are business owners have felt and lived it. Yet there are some companies out there who are doing quite well despite the economy. Cydcor. is one of those companies. So what does Cydcor do? They generate sales – for other companies. They do it extremely well. Case in point: According to Sales & Marketing Management Magazine, a company in the cable industry needed to grow sales (something we all need to do) without increasing overhead (i.e. – hiring more salespeople) . Reading about sales outsourcing has really intrigued me. Cydcor operates on a pay for performance model. Their sales force gets paid based on their results (much like many of us in Direct Sales). However, reading more about the company, it is like Cydcor is direct sales on steroids! They offer their employees monthly awards. They offer constant training that is both client-specific and geared toward employee self-development. It is no wonder that Cydcor has been named by a California survey as one of the “Best Places to Work” two years in a row.
Reading about a company who can prosper in the face of such an economy is inspiring. It makes me wonder what we can learn from such a company - and how to get a job there…!
