Work at Home Mom

Hey guys,

I know lots of my fellow work at home Moms have asked me just how to monetize their blogs, how to get started making money blogging, etc...

I have one word for you - Linkworth!

Linkworth has been a GREAT tool in helping me monetize my blogs.   If you have a blog that you have been faithfully updating and are wondering how to get that extra income off of it - Linkworth may be what you are looking for.

It is as simple as signing up for a FREE partner account (an advertiser account isn't a bad idea either if you are in need of some marketing campaigns), and submitting your blog(s).  You get approval pretty quickly.  You determine how much you would like to get paid per post, and an account manager sends you relevant assignments called "linkposts".  You can approve what you want to write about on your blog and BLAM.

You have just taken that step towards monetizing your blog.

If you have real estate on a great site, Linkworth is also the BEST place to sell those ad spots.  And they do sell over at Linkworth.

All in all, I am so very happy that I found Linkworth.  It is super easy to get started, and unlike Google Adsense and other programs, you are in total control of what ads appear on your site.
Whether you are a new owner, or have had a successful site or blog for a while, I encourage you to give Linkworth a try.  You will be so glad you did!

Hey guys!

Here is a great article about keeping on task with your home business.  Worth a read - had great tips for newbies and the seasoned alike:

============================================================

Putting Sanity In “Work at Home”

Working at home can be a blessing but it can also be a disaster if you are out of control.  Chances are you want to be home with your family or you got fed up with the rat race and you are looking for the “good life.”  You want time freedom, financial freedom, and to be your own boss.  You can have the best of all worlds if you apply a few basics to the equation.

1.  Don’t be an isolationist!  If you sit home in a corner of the house all day everyday you will soon be ready to climb the walls, depression will set in, and you will not only be miserable but you will not accomplish anything.  Remember to schedule your break time, date time, fun time, exercise, and lunch with a friends.  When you get to feeling like you are in isolation even a phone call to a friend can help.

2.  It takes self-discipline to run a home business.  If you aren’t careful you can find yourself doing the laundry, washing the dishes, and never getting to your desk to complete your work for the day.  Start your day with a schedule.  Use a calendar and schedule what time you will start and what your tasks for the day are.  Check them off as you accomplish them and discipline yourself that you will complete each task before you quit for the day.  Prioritize your tasks for the day so that you complete the most important tasks first. Train yourself to work when it’s time and play when it’s time.  Be your own boss.

3.  We all have distractions during our day.  Ask you family to respect the fact you “work” at home and need to keep certain work hours.  Remember family comes first.  So set your work schedule around your family’s schedule, ask them to respect your work hours.  If you treat your business like a hobby and hope you find time to work you will never accomplish much or create much income.  If you treat your home business like a job and commit to the time and productive activities you will build a successful business.

4.  Organize your work space and keep things simple and clean.  Whether you are working out of the kitchen as an office or have a designated room in the house to work out of, remember organization helps production and efficiency.

Working at home can hold many rewards.  It’s all what you make of it!
